PHOENIX — Phoenix police detectives are investigating after parents say their child may have witnessed an abduction Tuesday morning near Cactus Road and 52nd Street in north Phoenix.

At this time, police say it is unknown if this was an actual abduction.

Police say when officers arrived, the parents said the child was playing in the backyard when a scream was heard. The child allegedly saw a man pulling a teenage girl into a green van and then drive away.

The child described the girl as a female teen with blue hair, wearing a gray sweatshirt, red backpack, blue shoes and white socks.

Detectives are going door to door in the area, in an attempt to locate the described girl or young woman, matching the description.
