PHOENIX — High pressure is taking control, causing temperatures to warm up through Friday. Desert daytime highs will ramp up to the low 80s on Thursday and Friday. A mix of 50s and 60s are in the forecast for popular fall travel spots like Prescott, Flagstaff, Payson and Sedona. We have a string of sunny days to look forward to.
By Sunday night, the next system will knock down temperatures and return rain chances. It also brings a wind event. Northern Arizona will experience wind speeds ramp up Saturday through Tuesday. A few rain/snow showers will be possible very late Sunday night through Monday afternoon for northern AZ, but this is looking limited.
