SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Three different freeway ramps will be closed at the same time in north Scottsdale, as part of the Loop 101 widening project.
Starting at 1 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, the northbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be closed for up to 60 days, according to the Arizona Dept. of Transportation. At the same time, the northbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Shea Boulevard will be closed until mid-June, and off-ramp at Cactus Road will be closed until late June.
ADOT recommends drivers exit northbound Loop 101 at Raintree Drive and continue on the frontage road to Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.

North Scottsdale drivers should expect more congestion near this area while the three freeway ramps are closed.
According to ADOT, the Loop 101 widening project in North Scottsdale will bring improvements such as:
- Add a third southbound left turn lane at Princess Dr/Pima Rd interchange
- Convert Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd interchange to a diamond configuration
- Add right turn lanes at Raintree and Princess drives
- Update sidewalks to make them ADA-compliant
- Upgrade freeway and ramp lighting
As always, please stay alert and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through work zones.
