Sheriff's office asking for public's help finding what caused deadly crash after a woman drove off a cliff and her car fell 1,000 feet

39-year-old Kristin Little was killed after driving off the cliff on Aug. 16. Yavapai County deputies are now looking for help finding out what caused the crash.

PRESCOTT, Ariz. — The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding out what caused a woman to drive off a cliff near Prescott on Aug. 16

On that day, deputies were called to Thumb Butte Road, about two miles before it meets Copper Basin Road, due to reports of a car driving off a cliff.

The car fell about 1,000 feet. About halfway down the mountainside, deputies found the body of 39-year-old Kristin Little, who had been ejected from the car and killed.

YCSO now says Little was driving a white 1995 Toyota 4Runner when she crashed off the cliffside between 7:30 and 8 p.m.

Detectives with the sheriff's office are interested in gathering any information anyone has about the Toyota 4Runner, any other vehicles that may have been involved, or any witnesses who may have seen the accident.

"Your information, no matter how small it may seem, could be crucial in helping to piece together the events leading up to this tragic incident," the sheriff's office said in a news release.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office at (928)771-3260 or contact Yavapai Silent Witness anonymously at 1-800-932-3232 or online at yavapaisw.com.

"YCSO extends our deepest condolences to the family and friends affected by this incident and thank the community for their assistance during this difficult time," the release stated.
