6 vehicle crash injures 2 in west Phoenix

Two adults were taken to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries. This is the third crash with serious injuries at this intersection in less than 24 hours.

PHOENIX — A six-vehicle crash in west Phoenix injured left two people injured, police say. The intersection of 35th Avenue and Thomas Road is closed for investigation.

Phoenix police officers responded to the crash just before 8:30 a.m. on Sunday. When officers got to the scene, they learned six vehicles were involved in the crash.

This is the third crash with serious injuries at this intersection in less than 24 hours, Phoenix police confirmed.

Two adults were taken to the hospital and one of them has life-threatening injuries, police said. 

The intersection will be closed while officers investigate what led up to the crash. Drivers should avoid the area.

The identities of those involved in the crash were not released.
