Here's how much it will cost to take a family of 4 to a 2023 World Series game

We're breaking down the ticket costs, parking expenses, and price of food and apparel at the D-backs vs. Rangers World Series!

PHOENIX — The D-backs embraced the chaos and came out on top! After securing that Game 7 win, the boys are officially off to the World Series for the first time since 2001.

Phoenix couldn't be more excited to see if we can sweep the Texas Rangers, but there's one question on everyone's mind: How much will it cost to go?

There's no easy way to say it, going to one of the World Series games will lighten your wallet. We have a breakdown of how much a family of four can expect to pay at a game.

Heads up, things like ticket prices are expected to climb as we get closer to the games.

Ticket Prices

Tickets for World Series games in Phoenix went on sale Monday, before the series was won. You can find them on the Diamondbacks website here, or try your luck with resale sites like Seat Geek or StubHub. But don't be surprised if you have to dole out some serious cash.

On Ticketmaster (the D-backs' official ticket platform), tickets for Game 3 are almost sold out and start at $650. For Game 4, tickets start at $350 but are climbing. And for Game 5, tickets start at $500.

On StubHub, tickets for Game 3 are starting at $514, tickets for Game 4 are starting at $419 and tickets for Game 5 are starting at $455.

On Seat Geek, tickets for Game 3 are starting at $471, tickets for Game 4 are starting at $403 and tickets for Game 5 are starting at $430.

And on Vivid Seats, tickets for Game 3 are starting at $454, tickets for Game 4 are starting at $403 and tickets for Game 5 are starting at $430.

Parking at Chase Field

Three of the seven games are scheduled to happen here in Phoenix at Chase Field, and parking is going fast. You can check event parking online here.

As of Wednesday morning, it costs $320 to reserve a parking spot at the 811 E. Jackson St. parking lot near the stadium, and $185 for a spot at the Hilton Garden Inn nearby.

The Valley Metro Light Rail will be in service on game day, and has several stops in walking distance of Chase Field. Fans can purchase an all-day pass to avoid lines at the vending machines after the game.

Diamondbacks spirit gear

As you can imagine, there's no team in Phoenix more popular than the Diamondbacks right now, and gear has been flying off the shelves.

Dick's Sporting Goods is offering extended hours for fans to pick up their own hats or jerseys. You can visit one of the following locations:

  • Emerald Center- Tempe
    8550 South Emerald Drive
  • San Tan Village- Gilbert
    2269 South Santan Village Parkway
  • Scottsdale Fashion Square- Scottsdale
7014 East Camelback Road Suite Anc 03
  • East Mayo Blvd- Phoenix
    7000 East Mayo Boulevard
  • Arrowhead Towne Center-Glendale
    7680 West Arrowhead Towne Center
  • The Shops at Norterra- Phoenix
    2350 West Happy Valley Road

Right now, one of their New Era World Series hats runs for $34.99, while adult t-shirts are anywhere from $37 to $45. Want a jersey? Keep your eye on the store, because most of the $140 crowning jewels are already sold out!

Stadium food

Chase Field just got a whole bunch of new options, and they look fantastic.

But if the fancy stuff isn't worth the price point for you, Chase Field offers plenty of value options for you to pick up:

  • 12oz. Soda - $2.99
  • Corn Dog - $2.99
  • Value Dog - $2.99
  • Popcorn - $2.99
  • 14oz. Beer - $4.99

Total cost

Starting at the low end of Game 3 ticket prices, $454, it will already cost a family of four $1816 to get in the gate at Chase Field.

Parking isn't entirely necessary, but the $185 price tag of the lower end would bring you up to $2001. It depends on how much gear you get, but you can expect another $100 - $200 on top of that — and that's without splurging much.

Souvenirs and food will likely show up in your expenses on the day of the game, but it's impossible to say how much that will cost you ahead of time. It's a trip to an iconic event, but it won't be without some pain in your wallet.
