PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks are not giving up on trying to get to the World Series just yet – and the team is hoping fans won’t either. Tickets for potential World Series games in Phoenix are on sale starting Monday, even though the team has not yet clinched a spot in the series.
In case you missed Saturday’s game, the D-backs suffered a devastating loss 6-1 against the Philadelphia Phillies. The loss ended a two-game hot streak and put the Phillies in the lead in the National League Championship Series, 3-2.
But hope is not lost for the D-backs – if the team wins on Monday in Philly, then the series will continue to Game 7, and the winner of that game will take both the National League title and the spot in the World Series.
If Arizona plays in the World Series, Chase Field will be the site for Game 3 on Oct. 30, Game 4 on Oct. 31 and Game 5, if necessary, on Nov. 1. The World Series is presented by Capital One.
Tickets will go live on Monday, Oct. 23 at 9 a.m. and can be purchased at dbacks.com/postseason.
