Friday Night Fever Week 10 highlights

The end of the regular season has arrived for 2A and 3A teams and it's the second-to-last week of the regular season for 4A, 5A and 6A.

PHOENIX — Welcome to November. Now that we are past Halloween and cooler weather has arrived, high school football action is heating up on Friday Night Fever, Arizona's No. 1 and longest-running high school football show! 

This week is the final week of the regular season for the 2A and 3A conferences. Their playoff brackets will be revealed by the Arizona Interscholastic Association on Saturday at 9 a.m. on the AIA's radio show on 1580 AM The Fanatic. There will also be a live stream on the NFHS Network. As a reminder, the top 16 teams, as ranked by the AIA, will make the playoffs, which will begin next week. 

This is the penultimate week of the regular season for the 4A, 5A, and 6A conferences. Their playoff brackets, along with the Open Division bracket and the brackets for 4A, 5A and 6A flag football, will be revealed on the AIA's radio show on 1580 AM The Fanatic on Nov. 9 at 8 a.m. There will also be a live stream from the NFHS Network.

Now, let's take a look at the highlights from Week 10 of Friday Night Fever, starting, as always, with our Game of the Week!  

Game of the Week: ALA-West Foothills (10-0) caps perfect regular season with 56-7 win over Dysart (7-3) 

In our Game of the Week, ALA-West Foothills finished an undefeated regular season and won the 3A Metro West region with a big win over Dysart. Watch the highlights and postgame reaction below.

Hamilton (8-1) beats Red Mountain (7-2), 30-28 

Hamilton made their case to jump into the top eight of the Open Division and likely ended Red Mountain's chances of making the state's top bracket with a close win on Friday night. Watch the highlights below. 

Queen Creek (8-1) wins close game over Highland (6-3), 23-20 

We could see the Queen Creek Bulldogs jump into the top eight in the Open Division after defeating 6A East Valley region rival Highland on Friday. Watch the highlights below. 

Desert Ridge (3-6) gets region victory over Mesa (3-6), 38-24 

Desert Ridge may jump into position for a spot in the 6A playoffs after defeating their Fiesta region rival, Mesa, on Friday night. Watch the highlights below. 

Mountain View (8-1) grabs 1st place in 6A Fiesta region with 50-0 win over Cesar Chavez (6-3) 

Mountain View likely secured the 6A Fiesta region title and made their case for a home game in the first round of the 6A playoffs with a dominant win over Cesar Chavez. Watch the highlights below. 

Higley (6-3) defeats Desert Mountain (7-2), 15-12 

Higley likely ended any shot Desert Mountain had of making the Open Division and got a step up in the 5A playoffs winning this 5A Northeast Valley region matchup. Watch the highlights below. 

Desert Edge (6-3) beats Cactus (6-3), 21-6, on senior night 

Desert Edge won a tense rivalry game over Cactus and grabbed first place in the 5A Desert West region. Watch the highlights below. Video courtesy YurView Arizona.  

Notre Dame Prep grabs first region victory over ALA-Gilbert North, 51-48 

Notre Dame Prep battled to the end for their first 5A Northeast Valley region victory of the season and they helped their chances of hosting a playoff game. Video courtesy the Fiesta Bowl. 

Fever Spotlight: Campo Verde (6-3) ends McClintock's (8-1) undefeated run with 34-14 win 

Campo Verde grabbed first place in the 5A San Tan region and handed McClintock their first loss of the season on Friday night. 12Sports journalist Jake Garcia has the highlights.   

Fever Flyover: Horizon (8-1) beat Cactus Shadows (6-4) and Peoria (5-4) beat Moon Valley (5-4) 

This week, Sky12 saw action from Horizon's 40-21 win over Cactus Shadows and Peoria's 32-21 win over Moon Valley. Watch the highlights below.  

On the Road: Apollo (5-4) defeats Agua Fria (3-6), 41-26 

12Sports was On the Road with the Agua Fria Owls as they looked to get a 5A Northwest Valley region victory, but fell short against Apollo. Lina Washington has the highlights.

Sweet Plays of the Week 

And finally, we revealed the nominees for the Week 10 Sweet Plays of the Week!  

As a reminder, each week three plays will be nominated to become the Sweet Play of the Week and will be voted on by you, the fans. 

Each weekly winner will be eligible to become the Sweet Play of the Year, with the player in the winning play at the end of the season taking home a $5,000 scholarship, courtesy of Sweet James Accident Attorneys.
