Former mobster Sammy 'The Bull' Gravano endorses Trump, attends Glendale rally

The former mobster wore a t-shirt with his mugshot and Trump's mugshot on it, which is available on his TikTok shop.

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Sammy "The Bull" Gravano has chosen his pick in the 2024 presidential election: the former mobster showed up to former President Donald Trump's rally in Glendale on Friday wearing a shirt with both Trump and his own mugshot on it, as well as "Trump Gravano 2024."

"The country needs him to straighten the country out," Gravano told 12News journalist Troy Hayden on Friday at the Desert Diamond Arena. "What they did the last four years? A mess."

Gravano has a checkered past working as a hitman and rising through the ranks of mafia life in New York in the 70s and 80s, ultimately becoming underboss. In the 90s, Gravano pleaded guilty to a superseding racketeering charge, and after 11 months in prison and 23 years in the mob, he decided to cooperate and testify in 1991.

When he was released from prison in 1995, he entered the Federal Witness Protection program in Arizona. But in 1996, he co-wrote a book about his life and even appeared on a nationally televised interview with Diane Sawyer.

Gravano was implicated in an ecstasy ring in 2000 and was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2002. He was released in 2017 and currently lives in Phoenix. Gravano talks about his former life in organized crime on "Our Thing," his podcast.

Gravano told Hayden that the "open borders" were part of the "mess" he referred to in the last four years, and said he supports Trump, especially after what happened in the former president's rally in Pennsylvania, where an attempt was made on Trump's life.

"How could you not want this guy to fight for the country?" Gravano said.

And of course, Gravano showed off his new t-shirt, which can be purchased online.

"Two convicted felons," Gravano told Hayden, pointing to the two mugshots side-by-side across his chest. "Me and Trump. Him for the president, me for the vice president."
