GLENDALE, Ariz. — Former President Donald Trump is headed back to Arizona on Friday, Aug. 23 to hold a campaign rally, the Trump campaign announced on Saturday.
The rally, which will be held in partnership with Turning Point PAC and Turning Point Action, will be held at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale and comes the day after Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to officially accept the Democratic nomination for president at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
Doors will open for the rally at noon on Friday and former President Trump is expected to speak at 4 p.m.
Tickets are available for the rally now. To register, click here.
The former president's rally will come two weeks after Vice President Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, held a rally at the same location in front of 15,000 supporters.
It will also come a day after the former president will hold a "Make America Secure Again" event in Montezuma Pass, Arizona, a remote location on the Arizona Trail at the U.S.-Mexico border in Cochise County. The event will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22.
Trump's running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, was also in Arizona recently, as he spoke at a rally at Arizona Christian University in Glendale on July 31.
Trump last visited Arizona in June, when he spoke at a rally in Phoenix.
Arizona has become a key swing state in the 2024 election once again after President Joe Biden stepped aside and Vice President Harris took the top spot on the Democratic ticket. A new poll from the New York Times and Siena College shows the vice president has taken a lead over former President Trump among likely voters in Arizona, 50 percent to 45 percent.
