GLENDALE, Ariz. — A man was pronounced dead at the scene of a vehicle/pedestrian collision Sunday evening, the Glendale Police Department said.
The 70-year old victim has been identified as Efren Porfirio Ramos.
He was struck and killed by a vehicle near the intersection of 75 Avenue and Camelback Road in Glendale, police said. Ramos was reported to be standing in the street in the curb lane of westbound Camelback Road.
A white Toyota Avalon was traveling westbound when it collided with Ramos, police said. The driver stayed on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
There are no signs as to why Ramos was in the street. police said. The investigation is ongoing.
