GLENDALE, Ariz. — A 49-year-old is dead after a shooting reported in Glendale early Monday morning.
Police officers were dispatched to the area of 59th Avenue and Bethany Home Road after multiple ShotSpotter alerts were received in this region. Residents also called 911 to report hearing the sound of multiple gunshots being fired.
As officers searched the area, they located a man who appeared to have sustained a gunshot wound. The victim later died and has been identified as Dwight Steele.
Investigators are continuing to gather evidence and interview possible witnesses. No suspect description has been released.
