CHANDLER, Ariz. — Two teens were found dead inside the garage at a Chandler home early Tuesday morning, according to police.

Around 3 a.m. Tuesday, an officer on patrol near N. Arizona Avenue and E. Ray Road was flagged down by people requesting a welfare check on Romeo Elias Alvarez, 18, and a 17-year-old boy, Chandler police said.

Officers opened the garage to a home and found the pair dead. Officers believe the deaths were accidental.
12News has learned Alvarez graduated from Dobson High School in May. He delivered a speech at his commencement ceremony.
Officials have not yet identified the 17-year-old.
Detectives are currently waiting for the Medical Examiner's Office to determine the official cause of death.
