Alleged getaway driver who police say helped Arizona man murder woman in Ohio arrested

KENT, Ohio — Months after a woman was killed as a result of a deadly shooting in Kent, police have arrested a second suspect.

Police arrested 37-year-old Michael Deshawn Lollar, who is accused of driving the getaway vehicle in the November murder. Lollar was arrested in Akron on Wednesday, Jan. 17 on the charge of complicity to aggravated murder. 

Previously, police arrested Dawan Wilson in Texas on Dec. 4, 2023. Wilson was accused of murdering a woman on Nov. 21 on South Water Street in Kent. 

Police previously said that they believed Wilson, who had a domestic relationship with the victim, traveled to Kent from his home in Goodyear, Arizona. 

Both suspects are currently being held in the Portage County Jail. 

A preliminary hearing or Lollar is set for Friday, Jan. 26 at 8:30 a.m.
