Arizona train heist ends in arrests, sheriff says

A YCSO deputy followed the alleged train burglars along I-40 until stop sticks were deployed.

YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. — An alleged train heist ended in law enforcement officials making arrests over the weekend, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.

At about midnight on Friday, a a BNSF Train near Seligman was reportedly burglarized by a white box truck. A YCSO deputy arrived at the scene while the burglary was still in process.

YCSO said the white truck and another vehicle then headed west on Interstate 40 and the deputy followed.

As the truck neared Kingman, stop sticks were deployed to immobilize the vehicle. The truck's driver attempted to run away on foot and was apprehended by state troopers. The person driving the other vehicle was also arrested.

YCSO did not disclose the names of the suspects.
