Snowboarders and skiers get ready to hit the slopes. Early season snow means an early opening for Arizona Snowbowl.

Arizona Snowbowl has announced they will be able to open on Nov. 8 thanks to early season snow.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Early season snow means an early start to ski season for Arizona Snowbowl.

The ski park in Flagstaff announced on social media Wednesday that they will be able to open for the season on Friday, Nov. 8. They were originally scheduled to open on Nov. 22. 

The 12News weather team is forecasting an area of low pressure will stay parked over Arizona through Thursday, keeping snow showers in the forecast for northern and eastern AZ through Thursday evening. Some additional light accumulation will be possible for areas above 4,000 feet.
