Snow in Arizona in August? Yes, that really happened.

Arizona Snowbowl, a ski resort near Flagstaff, saw snow fall on Saturday, giving hope that our temperatures could soon cool off.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. β€” It's been an intense summer here in Arizona.

In the Valley, we've seen a string of days where the temperature has reached at least 100 degrees which is longer than any other year on record

We could also set a record this next week for the most days with temperatures of at least 110 degrees, which would be the second year in a row that record has been broken.

But, there's "snow" doubt about it, the temperatures will soon fall as one ski resort in Arizona is proving that winter is coming.

Arizona Snowbowl, which sits at 11,500 feet above sea level just north of Flagstaff got a dusting of snow on Saturday, enough for workers to shovel off a deck and write in, as shown in a video on social media

The snowfall came just 82 days ahead of the planned opening date for skiing and snowboarding at Snowbowl on Nov. 21.

It comes less than three months after the longest winter season ever at Snowbowl, as they were open until June 1. That was the first time the resort had ever been open in June. They were able to stay open thanks to 281 inches, or 23 feet and five inches, of snowfall last winter. Snowbowl was one of just four ski resorts in the United States that were able to stay open into June
