PHOENIX — The Phoenix Police Department received calls for officers to respond to three separate shooting scenes within minutes of each other, police said.
Department Sergeant Maggie Cox said that she has since been informed they were all related.
The shooting itself occurred near the intersection of South 16th Avenue and West Yuma Street Sunday evening, police said. Two groups of people were allegedly fighting in the area and shots were fired.
One of the victims of the shooting was found nearby the incident, police said. Another victim was found two miles away near the intersection of 1st Avenue and Washington Street.
The third victim drove themselves to a local hospital, police said.
The investigation is currently in the early stages as police are attempting to identify all suspects involved in the incident.
