19-year-old alleged 'Gilbert Goon' given 3-year probation sentence

Gage Garrison, 19, pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault.

GILBERT, Ariz. — Gage Garrison, a 19-year-old who pleaded guilty to two separate aggravated assault cases, was sentenced to three years of probation Thursday.

The state alleges that Garrison is linked to the so-called "Gilbert Goons" who are tied to several other teen violence investigations.

Garrison was arrested on Jan. 24 for his involvement in an aggravated assault at a parking garage near Vaughn Avenue, which occurred on Dec. 3, 2022.

Garrison was also one of several suspects involved in an assault on a teen victim at a party back on Dec. 17, 2022.

Garrison and Cody Kostoryz, 18, were identified as being part of a group of teens who ambushed a juvenile while he was attending a girl's birthday party.

Although Garrison was named in a case "related" to the death of 16-year-old Preston Lord, he was not indicted as part of the Lord homicide case.
