Suspect crashes into 2 Phoenix police cruisers while evading arrest

PHOENIX — The Phoenix Police Department is searching for the suspect who crashed into two police cruisers while evading arrest Friday morning.

Officers were dispatched to 43rd Avenue and Indian School Road around 8:30 a.m. after getting reports of a suspicious person in a car. 

When police tried to talk to the suspect, he sped off and struck the police cars before escaping.

There was an officer in one of the cars that were struck, but no one was hurt. Police say there was only minor damage to the cars.

Investigators didn’t provide a description of the suspect or vehicle.
