PEORIA, Ariz. — The man suspected of shooting and killing 33-year-old Jordan Gonzalez in Peoria earlier this month was arrested at his Glendale home, officials announced.
According to early reports, Peoria police officers arrested 37-year-old Michael Villareal around 2 p.m. on April 11.
Villareal was interviewed and booked into Maricopa County Jail on first degree murder and aggravated assault charges.
The shooting happened on April 2 around 3:30 a.m. near 83rd Avenue and Jefferson Street in Peoria. Gonzalez was found in the street with a gunshot wound and died on the scene, police said.
Police did not share how Villareal and Gonzalez knew each other but believed that it was an isolated incident between them when the shooting happened.

Calls to Silent Witness are answered 24/7 by a live person and submitted tips are accepted at all times. Submitted tips are then sent to the detective(s) in charge of the specific case.
Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
