PEORIA, Ariz. — A man is dead after he was found in a roadway in Peoria Tuesday, the city's police department said.
Around 3:30 a.m. on April 2, Peoria police responded to a medical call near 83rd Avenue and Jefferson Street. According to police, someone reported a person was possibly having a seizure in the roadway.
Once officers arrived, they found a man lying in the road with a gunshot wound. First responders rendered aid, but he reportedly died on the scene, police said.
The man was identified as 33-year-old Jordan Gonzalez from Phoenix.
Detectives are investigating the incident and officials said this appears to be an isolated incident between individuals who possibly know each other.
No arrests have been made in connection to this incident.
