Argument between 2 groups of people led to shooting at Arizona Mills Mall

Tempe police said they are still looking for those involved in the shooting and haven't made any arrests.

A shooting that caused chaos at a Valley mall was started after two groups of people got into an argument, according to the Tempe Police Department.

The shooting happened Friday night at the food court at Arizona Mills Mall and sent terrified shoppers running for cover.

Police said multiple calls to 911 were made as gunshots rang out.

"People in the food court area ran for cover, and thankfully no one was hurt," police said in a news release.

The mall reopened on Saturday.

Police said they are still looking for those involved in the shooting and haven't made any arrests.

Investigators are asking for help identifying those responsible from those who were there at the time of the shooting.

Specifically, police want anyone with video or pictures of the mall or food court area between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Friday to come forward.

Those who can help with the investigation should contact the Tempe Police Department at (480) 350-8311. Police said callers may remain anonymous.
