TEMPE, Ariz. — Tempe police responded to a shooting at the Arizona Mills Mall in Tempe Friday. The mall reopened Saturday morning.
Tempe police said this was not an active shooting situation or a shooting involving law enforcement. There were no injuries reported.
Officers swept the mall and armored trucks assisted with the investigation. When asked if anyone was in custody, officials said that was part of the reason for the sweep.
Witnesses told police the suspect fled the area.
