CASA GRANDE, Ariz. — EDITOR'S NOTE: The above video is from a previous broadcast.

Three arrests have been made in a house party shooting that killed one teen and hospitalized another in Casa Grande, according to authorities.

The Casa Grande Police Department said a 16-year-old boy from Casa Grande and a 17-year-old boy from Coolidge have been arrested in connection to the shooting that killed 17-year-old Hailey Stephens.

A third teenager from Coolidge, 18-year-old Jesiah Amaru Street, turned himself in to the Casa Grande Public Safety Facility around 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Street was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center on a possible 2nd degree murder charge.

An altercation between an unknown number of party attendees took place and resulted in shots being fired. Stephens and another 17-year-old girl were hit. Both were victims of stray bullets, police said.

The other victim continues to recover from her injury, police said.

The shooting happened early Sunday morning near State Route 387 and Cottonwood Lane.

The two suspects were arrested without incident and booked into the Pinal County Juvenile Detention Center. They are facing charges of second-degree murder.

Stephens' mother, Vanessa Stephens, said she is glad police have been able to find the suspects in the teen's shooting.

“I am glad there have been arrests in my daughter’s case,"  said Vanessa Stephens. "We are one step closer to justice.”
Police said the investigation into the deadly shooting is still active and more arrests could be made soon.

"Although today’s arrests are a major piece of this investigation, there is still much work to be done and additional suspects to bring to justice," said Casa Grande Chief of Police Mark McCrory.
