CASA GRANDE, Ariz. — One of the teens shot at a house party in Casa Grande has died, police said.
Police said 17-year-old Hailey Stephens died at a Valley hospital at 5 p.m. Sunday evening.
The other 17-year-old female victim continues to recover from her injury, police said
Casa Grande police officers responded to a call regarding a shooting near State Route 387 and Cottonwood Lane after 1 a.m. on Sunday. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Sunday morning, police said one of the victims, a 17-year-old girl, was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm, and is expected to survive her injury. The second victim is also a 17-year-old girl who has a gunshot wound to the head.
Police said no other victims have been reported and no suspects have been identified at this time.
Detectives interviewed all available witnesses at the scene. Based on evidence and information from the scene, detectives determined that a house party was being held at a vacant home on Silver Reef Road. At the party, an altercation took place, police said. It is unclear how many party attendees were involved.
During the altercation, shots were fired. The two people who were shot did not appear to be involved in the altercation, but instead were victims of stray gunfire, police said.

Police did not release the names of the two girls who were shot.
