PHOENIX — An Italian restaurant in central Phoenix will be featured on Guy Fieri's Food Network show this weekend.

Giuseppe’s On 28th, a family-owned restaurant located near Indian School Road and 28th Street, is expected to be spotlighted in an upcoming episode of "Triple D Nation," a spinoff of Fieri's popular show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."

Giuseppe's was previously featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" more than a decade ago.

"Our first feature on 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives' in 2009 was a milestone for us, and we're excited to showcase how we've grown while continuing to offer the same delicious, authentic Italian cuisine our customers love," owner and chef Richard Bock said in a statement published on the restaurant's website.

Giuseppe's will be included in an episode titled "Flavors from Afar," which is scheduled to air on the Food Network on Sept. 27. According to the episode's description, Fieri will revisit restaurants in Atlanta, Dallas and Phoenix.

Fieri has picked several other eateries around the Valley to feature on his Food Network shows over the years.

Earlier this year, three restaurants throughout the Valley were seen in an episode of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" that focused on Phoenix's food scene.
