PHOENIX — A Phoenix avenue was closed due to a sinkhole on Monday, the Phoenix Street Transportation Department said.
Authorities stated that the sinkhole on 3rd Avenue between Jefferson Street and Washington Street was caused by a failed storm drain lateral.
The closure is expected to last through Tuesday morning, the department said.
