PHOENIX - A hiker would have fallen to her death on Camelback Mountain Saturday, if it hadn't been for the quick reflexes of another hiker, a witness tells 12 News.
Marco Malimban was hiking Camelback Mountain on Saturday when he saw the woman almost fall.
"We heard a little scream off to my right," Malimban said. "The woman fell off the north face of the mountain. It really looked like she was going to fall all the way down."
That's when Malimban said he saw a man do something amazing.
"He reached out and grabbed one of her ankles," he said.
The woman would have plunged off the ledge if the man hadn't grabbed her ankle and brought her back up.
"It took an incredible strength, reflexes and speed," Malimban said.
Malimban captured the photo 20 seconds after the incident, he says.
Malimban is hoping to find either hiker and share the photo of the likely life-changing moment. If you know either person, email us here.
