PHOENIX — The Valley's rain may be tapering off for a little while today, but there's still snow in the High Country and chances for storms in the lower desert by this evening.

The culprit? A Pacific storm system, according to the National Weather Service. The storm system, rich with "Pacific moisture," will bring rain, snow, gusty winds and cooler temperatures to State 48.

The storm track is expected to persist into the weekend, the NWS said.
