ARIZONA, USA — Most of Arizona is waking up to freezing temperatures on Monday and parts of the state have gotten more than a foot of snow — the result of our first major winter storm.
Expect the rest of the week to stay chilly in the wake of that storm with a slight chance for more rain and snow later on. For now, here's a breakdown of how much snow fell in State 48 from Sunday into Monday morning.

The following data was provided by the National Weather Service using local reports and numbers may be subject to change:
Flagstaff area
Most of the city got over half a foot of snowfall over the last 24 hours. Downtown Flagstaff got 7.6" of snow while Flagstaff Mall to the northeast got 5.5". Flagstaff Airport got 10.8 inches of snow.
Further south, the area around Kachina Village got 9.5" to 12.8" of snowfall. Munds Park got 8.5" of snow with some still falling as of 7:30 a.m. on Monday. Sedona only got 2".
Moving west from Flagstaff, Bellemont got 8.8" of snow and Williams got anywhere from 6" to 9". The amounts tapered off quickly with Ash Fork and Seligman only recording 2" each.
Prescott area
Prescott got roughly 2.8" to 4" of snow with higher totals recorded in the mountains around the city. Prescott Valley got 2" of snow while Chino Valley recorded 1.8" to 2.3".
Social media reported 4" of snow on Mount Union and 5" at Crown King.
Payson area
Payson and Pine both got 5" of snow while Washington Park was hit harder with 9" of snowfall.
Further north, 9" of snow was recorded in Clint Wells.
Show Low area
Most of the snowfall in this region was clustered around Heber and Overgaard with 7" to 8" recorded. Show Low itself only got 4.5" of snow while Pinetop-Lakeside recorded 5.4" to 7".
McNary to the southeast got 9" of snow. To the north, Concho got 9" of snow but Snowflake barely lived up to its name — only 1" was recorded.
Navajo Nation & Hopi Reservation
Residents up north are going to be dealing with frigid temperatures for the rest of the week, but snowfall wasn't as extreme.
Pinon got 6.5" of snow and Bacavi got 6". Only 1.5" to 3" were reported in Kayenta.
Tucson area
Not even the southernmost parts of the state were spared! Summerhaven near Mt. Lemmon reported 5" of snowfall while Green Valley to the southeast reported 2.7".
