FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for all of northern and eastern Arizona until 5 p.m. Thursday for areas above 3,500 feet as another winter storm moves through.
Gusty winds will begin Wednesday night and continue through Thursday. The National Weather Service forecasts winds from 30 to 50 mph through the High Country. Wind speeds will reach up to 35 mph in the Valley.
The winds could cause power outages and blow around unsecured items Wednesday evening into Thursday morning.
Some snowfall has already been spotted in flagstaff, but no exact amounts have been reported:
Snow will begin to fall late Wednesday and will continue Thursday. Thursday morning and afternoon are expected to be the heaviest periods of snowfall -- up to 4 inches in Flagstaff and 8 inches in Alpine.
The snow will begin around 11 p.m. Wednesday night.
Travel outlook Thursday in the High Country
There will be hazardous travel conditions Wednesday night and all day Thursday. Conditions will begin to deteriorate Wednesday night and worsen Thursday.
If traveling is absolutely necessary during a storm, officials strongly suggest packing a supply kit.

Single-digit temperatures Friday for High Country
Residents in Flagstaff, Williams, Show Low and other areas of the High Country will be dealing with extremely cold temperatures Friday morning.
The forecasted low for Flagstaff Friday morning is 4 degrees.
Residents are strongly encouraged to stay indoors, but all exposed skin should be covered if going outside is necessary. All pets should be brought in and faucets should slowly drip to prevent freezing pipes.
