As we look forward to warm days and mild nights, the season is also synonymous with allergies. This year, one pollen is expected to be more severe than average courtesy of warmer temperatures coupled with above-normal rainfall.
Trees and plants will be budding earlier and in greater numbers this season. As a result, from New Jersey to Arizona, tree pollen is expected to be intense.
The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America releases an annual list of cities that have some of the worst allergy conditions for residents. Here are the most challenging cities in 2023:
- Wichita, Kansas
- Dallas, Texas
- Scranton, Pennsylvania
- Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
- Tulsa, Oklahoma
- Sarasota, Florida
- Cape Coral, Florida
- Orlando, Florida
- Des Moines, Iowa
- Greenville, South Carolina
