PHOENIX — Do you feel that? It's actually cool in the Valley. Unfortunately, it's not that rainy.
After dealing with weeks of record-high temperatures, Phoenix should see temps dip over the next couple of days. Not only cooler temps, but the Phoenix area is seeing its first measurable rainfall in more than 50 days.

Sadly, it's not much to get excited about. Most of the Phoenix Metro has seen spotty showers at best with many areas not getting any rain at all.
The National Weather Service said a cold front is moving through the state early Friday, bringing a cooldown and a chance for rain. If you were hoping for a drenching, NWS Phoenix predicts less than 0.1" of rainfall, but some lightning strikes will be possible.
Residents can also expect to see wind gusts around 30 mph. NWS also said isolated thunderstorms are possible in south-central and eastern Arizona.
With the forecast of rain in the Valley, a Weather Impact Alert Day will be in effect for Phoenix on Friday. The Flagstaff area will also have a Weather Impact Alert from Friday evening through Saturday morning.
FORECAST: Will rain make it to the Valley?
In the High Country
But what about the High Country? They aren't going to miss out on the action.
As of 8 a.m., storms in the Flagstaff area are causing rain and hail in the area. NWS expects those conditions to last through 9 a.m., and warns drivers to be careful on the roads.
NWS said high-elevation snow is possible with this system.
We'll continue to track the system and update this story with the latest information.
