PHOENIX — Spring may have arrived in Arizona, but the High Country is hanging on to the winter weather for as long as it can.

A storm system moved through the state over the weekend, bringing snow to some areas and even a few rain showers to the Valley.

It was a relatively quick weather maker as it began to move out of the state Monday morning, but not before leaving some pretty measurable snowfall behind. The National Weather Service took to X (formerly Twitter) to share some of the impressive totals.

The NWS posted totals Monday afternoon and the measurements varied across the region. Forest Lakes received 15 inches of snow while Prescott got a couple of inches.

FORECAST: Is the snow going to stay around this week?

Here's a list of other areas:

  • Bellemont: 10.5 inches
  • Washington Park: 7.2 inches
  • Williams: 6.5 inches
  • Grand Canyon East: 2.5 inches
  • Show Low: 2.4 inches
  • Upper Sedona: 1.5 inches

Rain and snow chances are expected to continue through Tuesday. Track the current weather conditions on 12news.com/weather.
