COCONINO COUNTY, Ariz. — A flash flood warning was issued for a portion of Coconino County Wednesday afternoon.

"Flash flooding is imminent or occurring along and around Havasu Creek," the National Weather Service said in their alert. "Campers and hikers should hustle to higher ground immediately! Stay away from creeks and washes!"

Locations impacted included Grand Canyon National Park, Supai, Beaver Falls, Hualupi Hilltop, Little Navajo Falls and Mooney Falls.

The NWS said footbridges will be washed out in the Supai campground and some campsites will flood, which could cause campers to be stranded.

All swimming holes on Havasu Creek near Supai were affected.
