The cold spell continued Thursday morning after lows in Phoenix dipped to 30 degrees Wednesday.
It was a very chilly morning in the Valley, but the National Weather Service was quick to point out that many spots around Arizona were a whole lot colder.
Thursday morning, the NWS tweeted out the 6 a.m. temperatures for several locations across the Grand Canyon State and we’re shivering just reading them.
Here are just a few of the freezing temperatures from the tweet:
- Grand Canyon: -6 degrees
- Flagstaff: 1 degree
- Winslow: 0 degrees
- Show Low: 1 degree
And in another interesting freeze factoid, Krystle Henderson said this morning during Today in AZ that Phoenix's record for low temperatures in the 30s is 37 days in a row.
So far, the current cold streak is at seven.
