PHOENIX — After active weather on Sunday, Arizona is quickly drying and clearing out early Monday morning. The Winter Weather Advisory for the White Mountains expired at 5:00 am.
Look for Monday valley highs in the lower 70s and high-country highs in the 40s and 50s. Flagstaff will reach 46 degrees under a mix of sun and clouds. Statewide, winds will continue to decrease. In the lower deserts, expect westerly gusts to 15 mph. North winds will gust up to 25 mph in the high deserts.
Below normal temperatures will stick around this week, with valley highs in the 70s. The normal high for the Phoenix Metro on this date is 82 degrees.
The next cold front will sweep across Arizona Wednesday into Thursday. By Wednesday, this system will return the next round of snow to the mountains. Right now, it looks like the lower deserts will stay dry. On Thursday, valley highs will barely muster 70 degrees.
