PHOENIX — The sunshine continues through Friday across Arizona, however temperatures are only in the 70s in the Valley.
Friday will also be a very windy day for the High Country. Right now, there is a Wind Advisory posted for most of northern Arizona from 8 a.m. -7 p.m. Friday. Winds will be sustained from the SW at 20-30 mph with gusts in the 45-55 mph range.
This weekend, we're tracking our next disturbance which will bring some rain chances to State 48 between Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.
Models have continually trended further east with the precipitation, which means this will be a nonevent for the Valley, Flagstaff and all of western Arizona, with mainly dry conditions. Rain chances will be slightly higher near Globe, Safford and Wilcoxx with a few snowflakes mixing in across the White Mountains.
Temperatures will be much cooler this weekend. We can expect 60s across the lower deserts and 40s up north.
