PHOENIX — Heads up commuters, Valley Metro is adjusting its services for the Valley area. In addition to a new route, Valley Metro is also extending routes, increasing service in some areas, and reducing service in others.
The changes take effect Monday, Oct. 24, so riders should get to know how their regular travel is being impacted before then.
Valley Metro announced that they'll be adding the Mesa Fiesta BUZZ, a new, free route that will connect the Fiesta District, Asian District, and Mesa Riverview areas. That route will operate Monday to Saturday, arriving every 30 minutes.
The Avondale ZOOM will become a free route for the first time. The north section of the route is being eliminated with additional routing changes south of the I-10. WeRIDE, a new microtransit service, will be available by the city of Avondale, Monday to Friday, traveling on the north side of I-10.
