The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) said drivers will be met with "lengthy delays" south of Munds Park, with back for several miles between milepost 310 and 320.
ADOT advised drivers to avoid travel during any severe weather conditions.
Drivers should also check weather conditions with the National Weather Service to "plan their travel accordingly," according to ADOT.
If you are driving in winter weather conditions you have a winter weather kits that includes plenty of warm clothes, a fully charged cell phone, blankets, food and water, medications you need and even kitty litter or sand in case you get stuck in the snow.
