Woman struck, killed crossing Indian School Road in Phoenix

The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. near 42nd Street. Phoenix police are looking for a driver involved in the deadly incident.

PHOENIX — A woman has died after she was struck by a car while crossing Indian School Road in Phoenix, city police said.

The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. near 42nd Street. 

The woman has been identified as 59-year-old Maria Ramos. Police said Ramos was walking across Indian School Road outside of any marked crosswalk when she was struck by a car driving east.

Another car driving west on Indian School Road struck the victim and left the area. Police are looking for the second driver.
