Woman dies after being ejected from car in crash, officials say

A witness to the crash called 911 and told dispatchers an SUV rolled over, ejecting the driver.

WILLCOX, Ariz. — A woman is dead after a rollover crash in Cochise County, according to the county's sheriff's office. 

A witness called 911 to report the crash just after 6 p.m. on North Fort Grant Road north of Willcox, officials said. The caller told dispatchers that an SUV was going northbound when it rolled over, ejecting the driver. 

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Cochise County officials said. The woman's name has not been released.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
