MESA, Ariz. — A five-year-old boy has died after a rollover crash on the US 60 in Mesa near Power Road, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

DPS told 12News that troopers were called to a single-vehicle rollover crash in that area at about 6:45 p.m. on Friday.

When deputies and firefighters got to the scene, they found a woman and three children trapped in a car. All four of them were extricated from the car and taken to the hospital with "injuries of varying degrees."

A five-year-old boy later died at the hospital.

DPS said they are still investigating the crash and that impairment has not been ruled out as a cause.

DPS added that they are still working to notify the family of the child who died and that his name will not be released.
