BLACK CANYON CITY, Ariz. — A crash on Interstate 17 in Black Canyon City caused huge delays in traffic Saturday morning.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said a crash on I-17 at Rock Springs blocked the northbound left lane for over 45 minutes.

This caused traffic in the northbound lanes to be backed up for over 10 miles from Black Canyon City to Anthem, ADOT said. Traffic has since eased up as of Saturday afternoon.

The southbound lanes are not experiencing any delays.

ADOT encourages drivers to travel with an emergency kit for unexpected delays.
