PHOENIX — A teenager and adult are in critical condition after being involved in a three-vehicle collision on the eastbound lanes of Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway, the Phoenix Fire Department said.
One eastbound lane of Loop 202 at 17th Avenue was reopened around 7 a.m. Saturday after being closed due to the crash, ADOT said
A 16-year-old boy and a 25-year-old man were both transported to a local hospital in critical condition, firefighters said. An 18-year-old and a 19-year-old, both males, were also injured in the crash but were in stable condition.
The collision is being investigated by the Arizona Department of Public Safety, firefighters said. There have been no further details on the cause of the crash or the identity of those injured.
