PEORIA, Ariz. — A serious crash with injuries closed State Route 74, according to the Peoria Police Department. It has since reopened.
Police said four people have been hospitalized, one of them with serious life-threatening injuries.
The two-vehicle crash, near milepost 21, happened Sunday afternoon.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the roadway was closed between mileposts 7-24.
According to police, preliminary information shows impairment played a part in the crash.
Police said State Route 74 was closed for several hours in both directions while the crash was investigated.
