Traffic delays on I-17 in Anthem

Daisy Mountain Fire and Medical units respond to semi-truck fire on I-17 in Anthem.

PHOENIX — A semi-truck is on fire and blocking one lane on southbound Interstate 17 near Anthem, officials said.

Daisy Mountain Fire and Medical units are at the scene of the fire on southbound I-17. It is currently blocking one lane and officials said travelers should expect traffic delays.

I-17 is one of the main ways Valley travelers get from central Arizona to the High Country.

The cause of the fire was not released and no other information was given.

Units are on scene of a semi truck fire on I-17 (mile post 239) in the southbound lanes. With one lane shut down, please expect traffic delays.
