BUCKEYE, Ariz. — Two people were hospitalized after a crash involving a semi-truck on State Route 85 near Interstate 10 in Buckeye on Sunday afternoon, according to the Buckeye Fire Medical Rescue Department

The crash caused traffic to back up in the area as authorities worked to clear it and clean up a broken concrete barrier in the median of the road that the truck appeared to crash through.

The two victims were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Hazmat units were also called to the scene due to diesel fuel leaking from the truck.
