PHOENIX — Five people are in the hospital after a crash at the intersection of Cactus Road and 43rd Avenue, a spokesman with the Phoenix Fire Department said.
Firefighters were called to the intersection early Saturday morning for reports of a crash between two vehicles.
First responders took five people, three women, and two men, to the hospital.

According to early reports, two of the women and one of the men were taken in critical condition, but the other people were reportedly stable.
Phoenix police are investigating the cause of the crash, but the department has not released any further details at this time.
